Work out your team's pay

Set how teachers and staff are paid once, and every session works out their pay for you to export.

Open Money, Team pay and add a pay rule, or ask the assistant: "Pay teachers $40 a class plus $3 for each person over 5." Allpage works out each person's pay after every session, from who taught and who came. You export statements and pay people yourself. Allpage doesn't pay or file taxes for you.

Pay rules

A rule can pay a flat amount a session, an amount for each person who came (with rates that start after a number of people), a share of what the session brought in, a commission on what someone's services bring in, and a minimum a session always pays.

A rule can be for everyone, one person, one offering, or whoever leads, assists or hosts. The most specific rule wins, so Maya's own rule beats the one for all teachers. A substitute is paid by the lead's rule unless they have their own. A rule for everyone never pays you or another owner; add a rule with your name to see your own pay.

A session you call off pays nothing unless its rule has a minimum. A share of a session paid by a membership is an estimate until that membership's month ends, then it's trued up.

Statements

Each pay period (a month unless you pick weeks, two weeks or half months) becomes one statement per person when you export it. Exporting downloads a spreadsheet for you or your payroll service, and the statements are final. A change after that, like a late substitute or a refund, shows on the next statement.

Pay is private. Each person on your team sees only their own pay. Only you, and roles you let see pay, see everyone's.

For agents

  • pay.rules lists rules; pay.saveRule saves one (terms, appliesTo); pay.archiveRule stops one; pay.saveSettings sets the period.
  • pay.statements shows a period's statements and needs the grant for private details. pay.export freezes and returns them as CSV, after the owner's OK. pay.download gets an exported period again.
  • A team member's own pay is pay.mine.
