Publish your website

Put your details into the draft, check it on a phone, and publish.

Your website starts as a draft whose home page is composed for your business. Open Website: Your site leads with Publish your site until it's live, then says where it's live, what changed last and what's waiting to go live. Open a page to change the words and photos in the editor, and press Publish when it looks right. Every version is saved, so you can go back. To add sections, build your own or add custom code, see Design your website's sections.

Customers see your website, so an AI you've connected asks you before it publishes, unless you chose Just do it for it. Custom code it writes always waits for your OK.

In ChatGPT, ask to see your website and tap Publish website on its card. That's your own choice, so it goes live right away. Publishing also lists you in the Allpage directory once your details are complete; tap Don't list me if you'd rather not, or turn it off any time in Get found. Get found also says whether customers can find and book you in ChatGPT yet. Once it's live, the card shows your link and a QR code to share.

Before you publish

  • Put in what only you know: what you offer and for how much, your hours, where you are, a line about you.
  • Check it at phone size. Most customers will see it there first.
  • Pick your colors and logo in Brand, or tap Suggest a look for me there. The website wears them.
  • Work through the editor's Checklist. It's the same list as Make your website yours on Today.

For agents

  1. Read the draft with site.draft (tool website_draft). It gives the site's id, revision, its words and every page's sections. site.page with {"pageId": "<a page's id>"} reads one page part by part, with each part's address.
  2. Load the site.edit skill before your first change. Change words with site.setWords: {"changes": [{"address": "home/welcome/headline", "words": "..."}]}, each part by its address from site.page. Add a section from the catalog with site.addSection: {"type": "faq", "after": "services"}. Anything else is site.change: {"siteId": "<site.id>", "baseRevision": <site.revision>, "ops": [...]}; site.catalog with {"kinds": ["ops"]} gives every page op whole. Each waits for the owner's OK the same way. To build a section, follow Design your website's sections.
  3. Show the owner with site.preview. It answers with the site's id, its address, whether it's live and whether the business is listed in the directory.
  4. Publish with site.publish: {"siteId": "<site.id>"}. It usually answers proposed with approveAt: give the owner that link to approve. In ChatGPT, don't: the website_preview card has a Publish button only the owner can tap (website_publish_tap, app-only), which publishes as their own act.
  5. site.published says whether it's live. The site answers at https://<slug>.allpage.site/ once it is. site.share gives its address and a line to send; in ChatGPT its card adds a QR code.

The onboarding.site skill walks through the same steps.
