Collect files from clients and other people
Send someone an upload link and their files land in your library, private until you make them public. Your assistant can also bring in a file from a web link.
In Files, choose Get an upload link, pick the album the files should go into, and send the link. The person opens it on any device, picks their files and taps Done. The link then stops working. It also stops after 7 days, or once it has taken the number of files you set.
What they send is private until you make it public, counts toward your storage, and shows who sent it.
To bring in a file that’s already online, ask your assistant to add it from its link. It must be a public https:// link to a photo, video or PDF up to 25 MB. Bigger files go through an upload link.
For agents
Agents never send a file’s contents. files.importFromUrl (url, optional name, alt, visibility default public, albumId, tags, requestId to retry safely) fetches an https link to a public host, follows at most 3 redirects, stops at 25 MB, and keeps the file only if its bytes are an allowed type; IP addresses, local names and Allpage’s own hosts are refused. For anything bigger, or a person’s own files, files.uploadLink (albumId, maxFiles default 50, maxMb default 5120, days 1–7) answers a url to hand to the person; their uploads are private and go into the album. files.closeLink with linkId stops a link early. files.fromAttachment (attachmentId) keeps a picture the owner attached in the chat as a library file.
