Answer Instagram and Facebook messages in your inbox
Connect Instagram, your Facebook Page or both, and their direct messages land in your inbox. You answer there, or let your assistant answer within a day of each message.
Under Settings, Connections, find Meta and connect the apps you use: Instagram, Facebook Messenger, or both. Each works on its own. Instagram needs a business or creator account; for Messenger, choose your business’s Page when Facebook asks. WhatsApp is there too and runs on your texting number.
Each new message lands in your inbox like a text or an email, and you answer it there. Instagram and Messenger only allow replies within a day of the customer’s last message. After that you can still answer yourself, for up to 7 days. Past 7 days you can reply once they message you again.
To let your assistant answer, turn on Instagram or Messenger under Inbox, Channels. It says it’s an AI in its first reply, answers from what your website says, and passes anything else to your inbox with a reply ready. It only answers within the day.
Each Instagram account or Page can be connected to one business on Allpage. If you remove Allpage in Instagram or Facebook settings, the connection ends; if you ask Meta to delete your data, the messages Allpage received are deleted too.
For agents
Instagram and Messenger connect only on the owner’s Settings, Connections (/settings?open=connections; integrations.connect gives the link; services instagram and messenger, capabilities messages.instagram and messages.messenger). Messages arrive as inbox conversations on channel instagram or messenger; answer with inbox.reply, which refuses past a day unless the owner replies by hand, and past 7 days always. channels.turnOn with channels ["instagram"] or ["messenger"] lets the assistant answer.
