Add events, news, a shop or a portfolio page

Add a page that keeps itself up to date: events with a calendar, news posts, a shop, your albums or your reviews. Each event, post, product and album gets a page of its own.

Under Pages, choose Add an Events, News, Shop, Portfolio or Reviews page. The page fills itself from what you already keep: your offerings’ dates, the posts you write, products you sell online, public albums in Files and the reviews you show. Each item gets its own address, like /events/open-mic-oct-9, that you can share, and search engines can read it.

Events show a month view and a list (phones see the list), each with Book when there’s room, and each event’s page says where it is and how many seats are left. A members-only event asks people to sign in, tells signed-in customers which membership to join (with its checkout, when it’s on sale), and members who can book it see Book. Your schedule marks members-only classes the same way. An event that hasn’t opened yet says when it opens. A full one offers the waitlist, and a past or cancelled date keeps its page, says so, and lists the next dates. Shop cards show the price and Buy, and a product’s page says how it reaches the customer. The Reviews page shows your average rating and a Leave a review link. People can subscribe to your public events in their calendar at /events.ics; members-only events stay out of it.

Write news on the News page: a title, a cover photo, then paragraphs, headings, photos and quotes. Save a draft to keep working, or publish it. A published post shows on your site at once, so changes to it wait for your OK like other website changes.

A page with nothing on it yet stays hidden from visitors until there is. Add a “Latest from a list” section to show the next few events or newest posts on any page, linking to the full page.

Featured reviews come from reviews_feature; events from offerings; products from commerce; albums from public albums in Files.
