Freeze a membership
Freeze a member’s membership for a while: nothing is charged, their bookings inside the freeze are cancelled, and what they paid for runs that much longer.
Open the customer, find the membership and choose Freeze membership. Pick the first day and the day it starts again. Before you confirm, we list the bookings the freeze cancels by name, like “Freeze and cancel 2 bookings”.
While it’s frozen, nothing is charged and the membership can’t be used to book. The next charge moves later by the frozen days, and so does the end of what they’ve paid for. Bookings inside the freeze are cancelled and what they used comes back.
To let members freeze it themselves from their account on your website, turn on “Members can freeze it themselves” on the membership and set the longest freeze. You can always freeze it for them.
You or the member can end a freeze early. The next charge then comes sooner by the days left. Bookings the freeze cancelled stay cancelled.
For agents
grants.freezeMembership (tier 2; the business, or the member when the membership allows it, up to its maxDays) takes agreementId, from and until (the day it starts again, business dates). Read grants.freezeCheck with the same input first: it lists the bookings it cancels and the button words to show. grants.unfreezeMembership takes agreementId and ends the freeze today, or calls off one still to come. commerce.memberships shows a customer’s frozen dates and whether they can freeze.
