Newsletter
Send a newsletter to people who signed up on your website, or to one group of them, like members or people who haven’t come in 30 days. You see how many it reaches before you send.
Open Grow, then Campaigns. Newsletter there says who it reaches. With no one signed up yet, choose Add a sign-up form to your website, then publish your site. New subscribers confirm by email first. Customers signed in on your website can turn it on or off from their account, under Emails; turning it on sends the same confirmation email. Choose Write a newsletter, write a subject and message, review how many email addresses it reaches, then send. Each address someone confirmed gets its own copy, so a customer subscribed on two addresses counts twice. Once texting is approved you can also text people who agreed to marketing texts.
Send to everyone, or pick a group in Send to: your members, people who came in the last 30 days, people who haven’t come in 30 days, or a group you made. Only people in it who agreed to your emails get it. Customers you imported who never agreed are never sent one. The confirmation says how many it reaches, and a scheduled one works out who’s in the group when it sends.
For agents
messaging.broadcast takes audienceId (from commerce.audiences; left out, everyone subscribed). Its preview names the count. Make a group with commerce.createAudience (kind: rule, a rule like { all: [{ visited: {} }, { daysSinceVisit: {}, gte: 30 }] }, or { visited: { offeringId } } for everyone who came to one offering), and see who’s in it with commerce.segmentMembers.
