Change one part: color, size and comments
Any heading, button, photo or line on your website can take its own color, size, alignment or emphasis, or hide on phones. Ask the assistant to change it.
Each part of your website can change on its own: a heading, a line of text, a button, a photo or a service’s price. Words can take a color from your website’s palette, a size from S to XL, left, center or right, and bold or italic. A button takes a fill color and a size. Any part can hide on phones. Ask the assistant, for example “make the services heading larger” or “make the welcome button dark”. It can change every part like it too, such as the heading in all your services sections or every heading on the site, and it tells you which parts it left alone and why: a locked section, or a part with its own color.
Colors come from your palette, or from your brand while it’s on, so a new palette or brand recolors them too. A color that would be hard to read on its background is refused, and the nearest color that reads is offered instead.
To change a style on more parts at once, choose Apply to… in the part’s menu: just this part, sections like it, or your whole site. The button says how many parts change, and the parts it leaves alone are listed with why.
A comment is a note on one part, for you, your team and the assistant. In the editor, select the part and choose Ask the assistant, then say what you want. The assistant starts at once and answers in the comment with a change, or says what it can do instead. The change shows on the part itself: switch between With the change and As it is now, then approve it, decline it or reply to ask for something different. Declined, the comment stays open. Approved, the comment is done, and it says “Not live yet” with Publish changes until you publish. If you changed the same part after the assistant suggested it, nothing changes and the comment says so. Comments show as pins on their parts on a computer, and as a count at the bottom of the screen on a phone. If the part is removed, the comment stays in the page’s comments and says the part was removed.
Every change saves to your draft and undoes on its own, also after later edits, unless a later edit changed the same part.
For agents
Read a page part by part with website_page {pageId}: each section’s settings, styles and slots, and each part’s address (home/services/item:s2/price), kind, field and the style keys it takes; "words" says what each part shows. website_draft outlines every page. Change a part’s words with website_setWords {changes: [{address, words}]}, the same edit the editor’s Edit text makes; add a catalog section with website_addSection {type, page?, after?, words?}. Style a part with website_change page ops setStyle {target, part, items?, style} and clearStyle {target, part, items?, keys?}: color (text: ink, muted, accent, paper; a button’s fill: accent, ink, soft, paper), size (s, m, l, xl), align (start, center, end), spacing (compact, comfortable, airy; a section only), emphasis (normal, bold, italic), phone ("hide"). To spread one style, website_scope {siteId, address, change} answers this part, sections like it on every page and the whole site, each with the ops for website_change, the count and what it leaves alone and why; with the brand kit on, a heading color for the whole site comes back as "brand", a patch for brand_update (it changes emails and receipts too). Comments: website_comments lists them, website_comment {siteId, address, body} adds one, answer with website_change and its commentId (the comment resolves when the owner approves), or website_replyComment {commentId, body}; website_resolveComment {commentId} closes one. When the owner declines a comment’s change, the comment is open again. Check the draft with website_check {pageId?} (free), then look with website_snapshot {pageId or proposalId, address?, width: 390 or 1280} (new pictures are limited each hour; a page that hasn’t changed is free). website_undoChange {siteId, changes} takes back one change from the "changes" it answered with.
