Work out what to pay teachers and staff

Set how people are paid once, and Allpage works out each person’s pay from who taught, who came and what was paid. You export statements and pay people yourself; Allpage never moves the money.

A pay rule says how someone is paid. It can be a flat amount a session, an amount for each person who came (with rates that start after a number of people, like $3 for each person over 5), a share of what the session brought in, a commission on what their services bring in, and a minimum a session always pays. A rule can be for everyone, for one person, for one class or service, or for whoever leads, assists or hosts. The most specific rule wins, so Maya’s own rule beats the one for all teachers. A rule for everyone never pays you or another owner for your own classes; add a rule with your name if you want your pay worked out too.

Pay is worked out after each session ends, from who ran it and who came. Comps count as people who came. A session you call off pays nothing, unless its rule has a minimum. A commission is worked out when a payment comes in and taken back if it’s refunded. A service added to a booking, like hot stones, counts toward the commission of whoever did the booking. An item, like massage oil, doesn’t.

A share of a session paid by a membership is an estimate until that membership’s month ends, because it depends on how many times the member came. It’s marked as an estimate, then trued up once the month is over.

Each pay period (a month unless you pick weeks, two weeks or half months) becomes one statement per person when you export it. Exporting downloads a spreadsheet for you or your payroll service, and the statements are final. If something changes after, like a substitute you record later or a refund, it shows as a change on the next statement. Download an exported period again any time.

Everyone on your team can see their own pay on Money, Team pay, and nobody else’s. Only you, and roles you let see pay, see everyone’s. Connected apps can’t read pay unless you give them access to private details.

Allpage doesn’t pay or file taxes for you. Pay people yourself or through your payroll service, and ask your accountant what to withhold and file.

For agents

The page is Money, Team pay (/team-pay), on the rail once there are two people on the schedule or a pay rule. pay.rules lists the rules; pay.saveRule saves one (terms.kind session with flatMinor, perAttendee.brackets [{from, eachMinor}] and cliff, percentBps of the session’s value, minimumMinor; or commission with percentBps; appliesTo with resourceId, offeringId, role); pay.archiveRule stops one; pay.saveSettings sets the period. pay.statements (private: needs the sensitive grant) shows a period’s statements, pay.export freezes and returns them as CSV (the owner’s OK when an assistant or app asks), and pay.download gets an exported period again. A person’s own pay is pay.mine, on their own screen only.
