Add your rooms and equipment
Add the rooms and equipment your sessions and bookings use, so nothing gets booked twice. Group the ones that are interchangeable, and block one off for repairs or a kiln firing.
Ask the assistant to add each room or piece of equipment, with how many people fit in a room. Put interchangeable ones in a group, like Treatment rooms, so a booking takes whichever is free.
A booking holds its room for its own time plus any setup and cleanup, so the next one can’t start until the room is ready. Customers see only the booking’s own time.
To take one out of use for a while (repairs, a kiln firing), block it off. That’s refused if something is already booked then; move that first. Opening the block frees the time again.
For agents
resources.list lists rooms and equipment with their groups. resources.save adds one (no resourceId) or changes one: kind (room or equipment), locationId, group by name (made the first time; null leaves the group), capacity, active. Team members are people: resources.savePerson (tier 2) takes their resourceId, bookable (whether customers can book them online) and hours (weekly: seven days from Sunday, each a list of { start, end } windows in minutes of the day; daysOff: dates; or null to follow the business’s booking hours). A team member sets only their own. resources.block takes resourceId, start, end (ISO instants) and note, and is refused with what’s booked then; resources.unblock takes the blockId it returned.
