Sell products
Everything you sell that isn’t booked, in one list: physical and digital products, passes, bundles and gift cards. Add one on Sell, Products, or ask the assistant.
Products, under Sell, is one list of everything you sell, with its price and stock. Tap Add a product, or ask the assistant: “Add a lavender candle for $24, 12 in stock, pickup only.”
Pick what it is:
- A service is something people book, like a class or a massage. Choosing it opens Schedule, What you offer, where you set its times too.
- A physical product goes out by pickup, shipping or local delivery.
- A digital product is sent digitally.
- A pass or membership is used at your place or sent digitally.
- A bundle holds two or more of your other products and sells as one: one price, one way to get it. A bundle of packs is a package, like 3 massages and 2 facials for $450. The customer gets each pack, and each pays only for what it covers. A package is used at your place, so nothing ships, and it can’t hold a membership.
- A gift card is a balance customers spend with you or give to someone.
Stock: set In stock to how many you have to sell now, or leave it empty if you don’t count. A customer checking out holds what’s in their cart for 15 minutes while they pay, so nobody else can buy the last one meanwhile. Unpaid by then, it’s back on sale. Paid, it comes off your count for good. A cancelled or refunded order goes back in stock, unless you say it stays sold, like a mug that broke on the way. A bundle counts from what’s in it, and sells only while every part is in stock.
Options: add up to three, like Size and Color, each with its choices. Every combination gets its own stock count.
Add-ons: a service with a length or a physical product can be an add-on to an appointment, like hot stones for 15 minutes or a bottle of massage oil. Pick them on the appointment. Each sells as its own line of the booking, and an item sells only while it’s in stock.
Deposit: a service, or anything picked up or delivered, can take part of its price when they book or order, the rest at the appointment, pickup or delivery.
Photos: choose up to 10 from your files, or upload new ones. The first is the main one.
Files: a digital product delivers private files from your files once it’s paid. See Sell files to download.
Tap a product to change it. Save and Take off sale are at the bottom of the same sheet. A product off sale stays in the list under Shown, Off sale, and Put back on sale brings it back.
Sold out shows at the top of Products with how many. Tap it to see them, then add stock or take them off sale.
With payments on, each product is copied to your Stripe account so Stripe’s reports show it. If a copy fails, sales still go through.
For agents
Create with commerce.createProduct (a bookable service is type: service, fulfillment: at_appointment, with durationMinutes; deposit is { amountMinor } or { percent }), change stock with commerce.setInventory (count is what’s left to sell now; null stops counting), take off sale with commerce.archiveProduct and put back with commerce.restoreProduct. A package is type: bundle with components that are packs (access with credits); a bundle of only access and service parts defaults to fulfillment: on_site and refuses pickup, ship and local_delivery, and a part whose price repeats is refused. Selling it issues one grant per pack, listed as grantIds on commerce.agreement. A service with durationMinutes or a physical product can be an offering’s add-on (offerings.save addOns); offerings.book sells each picked one as its own line, ref enrollment:<id>:addon:<n>. images on create or update sets its photos: public photo file ids from files.list (kind: web), the first the main one; commerce.product and commerce.products answer them as images with each one’s url and alt.
